Ardent is now a certified B Corp
We’re proud to announce that Ardent has achieved B Corp certification, recognising its commitment to high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability.
Founded in 2021, Ardent is only the second UK pub group to achieve B Corp status – a milestone that reflects the values the business was built on from day one.
Operating three celebrated London pubs, Ardent exists to give the greatest welcome, build pubs with purpose, pursue quality without compromise and lead with conviction.
B Corp certification formalises that commitment.
Unlike accreditations focused on a single issue, B Corp is holistic. The process to achieve and maintain certification is rigorous and required coordinated engagement across the entire company – from kitchen and front-of-house teams to leadership – over years of building the business we wanted to see in action.
For us, B Corp is not a badge to tick off. It is a framework that helps keep the company honest – and focused on what matters most: that great pubs should enrich their communities, support the people who work within them, and operate responsibly in the places they call home.
Rooted in Community
Each Ardent pub is woven into the fabric of its neighbourhood, recognising the responsibility that exists beyond its four walls.
Since inception, we have donated more than £75,000 to charitable and community causes. Alongside these partnerships, we continue to develop initiatives around energy reduction, team wellbeing and mental health support – recognising that building purposeful pubs requires ongoing action, not one-off gestures.
We are also keen to collaborate with and share resources among other socially minded hospitality operators wherever possible. Joining the growing community of B Corps in the UK hospitality industry represents an opportunity to learn, contribute and play a part in raising standards across the sector.
Celebrating Teams and Quality
We believe the best pubs are built by empowered teams whose different voices and experiences strengthen the whole. In 2025, Ardent was recognised in CODE Hospitality’s Happiest Places to Work list, reflecting our commitment to nurturing talent and creating environments where people feel valued and heard. Our people-first approach is reflected in strong team spirit – with 91 % of our team happy to recommend Ardent as a workplace – and in our commitment to nurturing talent. 70 % of our managers have been internally promoted, a testament to the opportunities we create for career growth in hospitality.
When we talk about community at Ardent,, we’re not only referring to the people who live and work in the places we’re proud to serve, but also to the wider community of colleagues, guests and suppliers who lift us up every day and make what we do possible.
